We currently seek a non-employee entity for the following work:

Technical Writer/Patent Engineer Contractor

We seek a contractor that is (or expects to quickly become) proficient in patent specification writing. The work opportunity is to use your technical/patent writing skills to take an invention disclosure and turn it into a clean, technically clear detailed patent specification.

Requirements:

  • Must be located in the United States.
  • Must be self-motivated, very responsible/reliable, and handle matters very professionally.
  • If you are a Patent Agent, claim writing is not needed, but some patent specification writing experience is preferred (even if reviewed).
  • If you are not a Patent Agent, then 1-2 years solid technical writing experience, preferably related to describing the detailed workings of inventions and/or technologies.
  • Technical degree preferred.
  • Technology aware in the mechanical or software arts.
  • Aware (or intention to be aware) of basic patent specification writing requirements.
  • Must be able to start immediately.
  • Compensation is commensurate with experience and determined on a case-by-case basis.
