We currently seek a non-employee entity for the following work:

Technical Writer/Patent Engineer Contractor

We seek a contractor that is (or expects to quickly become) proficient in patent specification writing. The work opportunity is to use your technical/patent writing skills to take an invention disclosure and turn it into a clean, technically clear detailed patent specification.

Requirements:

Must be located in the United States.
Must be self-motivated, very responsible/reliable, and handle matters very professionally.
Solid technical/engineering experience in software, electronics, computers, IT, etc.
Patent claim writing is not needed, however, reasonably good patent specification writing experience is required (even if lightly reviewed). We will train for advanced skills, normally this means you will have 1-2 years spec/claims drafting experience at a high quality patent law firm.
If you are not a Patent Agent, then 1-2 years solid technical writing experience, preferably related to describing the detailed workings of inventions and/or technologies.
EE degrees preferred. Please no PhD's.
Aware (or intention to be aware) of advanced patent specification writing legal requirements.
Must be able to start immediately. All work is remote, over the Internet.
Compensation is commensurate with experience and determined on a case-by-case basis.
